If you’re ready to deepen your understanding of yoga beyond asana — to explore its roots through devotion, sound, and connection — and to experience Croatia in an authentic, heart-opening way, this journey is for you.

For the second year in a row, we’re thrilled to offer this retreat once again. After receiving heartfelt feedback from last year’s group — about the magic, connection, and transformation they experienced — we welcome you to join us for another unforgettable adventure.

Two breathtaking Croatian landscapes.
One journey of the heart.

Join us for the Bhakti Yoga Adventure — a soulful blend of devotion, movement, and exploration. From the sparkling Adriatic coast to hidden inland gems, you’ll dive deep into yoga, kirtan, and cultural discovery. Wander through villages, swim in turquoise waters, and share laughter and stories beneath the stars.

Each day unfolds as an invitation to reconnect with yourself and the world around you — through the rhythm of Bhakti, the spirit of adventure, and the beauty of Croatia’s soul.

This is more than a retreat.
It’s a return — to love, to wonder, to you.

The Bhakti Yoga Adventure is a unique journey through Croatia that blends yoga, culture, and connection. Guided by Sasha Dakic, Monika Benkovic and Paramananda, this two-part retreat is the perfect mix of learning about Bhakti Yoga and Vedic philosophy, exploring the beauty of Croatia, and creating space to connect with yourself. Together we’ll flow through daily yoga and mantra practices, enjoy local food, discover hidden coastal gems, and share moments of reflection and joy. With time for both adventure and rest, this retreat invites you to slow down, reconnect, and open your heart to new experiences, friendships, and ways of seeing the world.

Our adventure flows from the peaceful Croatian countryside to the sparkling Adriatic coast, with all bus and ferry transfers included in your retreat price.

We begin surrounded by nature at a family-owned eco-estate, tucked within lush forests and rolling hills. This tranquil Croatian village setting offers cozy cottages and houses accommodating between 1–5 people, each with full amenities for comfort and connection. Between sessions, unwind in hammocks, soak in the hot tub, refresh in the cold plunge, or relax in the outdoor saunas. It’s the perfect place to root down, rest, and begin your Bhakti journey.

For the second half of the retreat, we travel to a local Croatian island — part of the breathtaking archipelago often called the “Hawaii of Europe.” Here, we’ll stay at Croatia’s first fully vegetarian hotel and restaurant, a family-run sanctuary that’s been welcoming guests for over 20 years. Choose between single or shared double rooms, enjoy delicious vegetarian meals, and savor the island’s slower pace — sea swims, sunlit walks, and the magic of coastal living.

Our meals are prepared on-site with fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from local farms and markets. Each dish is crafted with love and care by our in-house chef and served family-style in a relaxed, buffet-style setting that brings everyone together.

You’ll enjoy three wholesome vegetarian meals a day for most of the retreat, with vegan options available and the ability to accommodate most food allergies and dietary preferences. A few meals (around three to four) will be open for you to explore and experience the local cuisine on your own — a chance to savour the flavours of the region.

Throughout the day, you’ll have access to nourishing snacks, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, and refreshing beverages to keep you energized and satisfied.

    PARAMANANDA

Paramananda has been traversing the path of yoga for over 25 years. His journey towards higher consciousness started out early in life, as a punk guitarist from the hardcore scene of New York City, where he spent his youth playing blaring rebel anthems in popular bands such as Youth of Today, Judge and Shelter. In a music scene mired in drugs, negativity and violence, Youth of Today championed a straight edge lifestyle of positive thinking, personal empowerment and freedom from drugs and alcohol. His band Shelter went even further into uncharted territory, incorporating Eastern spirituality, yoga ethics and self discovery into their music. Selling hundreds of thousands of records, the band toured constantly, bringing a message of hope to Generation X kids all over the world looking for something higher.

Paramananda found great inspiration in the Krishna Bhakti tradition and started living in ashrams, intensely studying ancient Sanskrit texts, meditation, kirtan (chanting of sacred mantras) and bhakti yoga (the yoga of devotion to God). From there he made yearly pilgrimages to India, learning to live the life of a yogi from the culture where it came from.

In a spirit of wanting to share what he had learned, Paramananda became a yoga teacher, specializing in arm balances, inversions, kirtan and storytelling from the wisdom literature of ancient India.

    MONIKA BENKOVIC

Monika has been teaching and practicing yoga for 9 years and is deeply committed to the path of yoga. Her training spans both India and Canada, offering a foundation in various yoga traditions. Monika works with energy and teaches various styles of yoga with a focus on Nada Yoga - the yoga of sound and vibration.

In 2020, Monika founded Church444, an alternative wellness community that deeply focused on yoga, the arts, and mental health. She now co-owns So’ham Studio in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, where she continues to cultivate meaningful connections and community through yoga.

Having traveled extensively, Monika has shared her teachings globally through workshops and retreats. Born in Croatia, she is excited to guide participants on a Bhakti adventure through her beautiful homeland, sharing both her love for yoga and her cultural heritage. Her dedication to merging science with spirituality inspires her teaching and aims to help people return to themselves, reconnect with their true nature, and deepen their self-awareness.
